The girls were supposed to be sleeping and all of the sudden I was hearing some singing coming from the back of the house. I thought maybe Chris was still back there singing and praying with them but to my surprise it was Leila singing away in bed Hallelujah over and over and over again. It was pretty cute so I thought I would share it with you.

Craft Time
After nap time today we decided to make our egg carton caterpillars. The girls had been waiting for a long time to get to make these. We got out the glue, markers, googly eyes, puff balls, pipe cleaner and hot glue gun. We had a blast making these. The girls are very proud of their creations.
Play Date!
Today we had over some friends for a play date. In total 4 adults, 5 toddlers and 3 babies. And only one of the eight was a boy. Everyone played so well together. We enjoyed a wonderful potluck style brunch of blueberry cobbler, an egg dish, strawberry's and cream, veggie tray and of course I made my easy oven pancakes. They have always been a hit with the little ones. All in all we had a wonderful morning with great company.

Liv Update
Today Liv had her 8 month check up at the doctor and it went really well. She weighed in at 15 pounds and 6.4 ounces! The doctor again is so pleased she says that we can wait until her 9 month check up to weigh her again. What a change of pace considering the past two months.
She is getting so big now. She is so good at holding her own bottle even laying down (still propped up by a pillow so we wont get any ear infections).
She is rolling all over the place now. It is hard to just lay and rest with her. I think crawling is not too far in the distance. She also is a big talker now. This afternoon I heard someone playing at nap time and went to see which one of the big girls was up and to my surprise it was Liv having a good ol' time in her crib! She was laughing and making really loud noises. I'm surprised that she did not wake up her older sisters.

Larissa's Mommy Date
Tonight Chris got home from work a little earlier than usual so we decided it would be a good night for me to take Lolly out on a Mommy Date. This would be my real first Mommy date with any of them. I let Lolly borrow a purse which she was quick to fill with an apron from her play kitchen, pocket sized book of Jesus's life, her sippy cup, a penny and a quarter.
Our first stop was the fabric store to get supplies to make her dress up closes for her ballerina birthday party coming up. Then we headed off to the mall to search for the perfect birthday dress for her pictures. While at the mall we went to the information booth Lolly handed her birthday gift postcard to the lady and she handed her a birthday bag full of goodies. It had bubbles, crayons, a coloring book, jump rope and squishy toy. She was so pleased with her birthday goodies from the mall. Keep in mind folks that I only paid $5 per child for a whole year of fun at the mall. I love the Kidgits mall club.
All her goodies!
Larissa wanted to have a hot dog on a stick for her special date night dinner. It worked out great because we got our Kidgits mall coupons today and one of them was a free item at hot dog on a stick. She loved her dinner and then we headed off to a couple more stores. We could not resist the smells coming out of The Body Shop so we stopped in and the worker was so sweet to let Larissa pick out a lotion to try and then she made Larissa her own little sample to take home. She wanted to sleep with it tonight! She told me she felt like a Mommy tonight. I think she means that she felt like a real big kid.
Taking a bow in her new birthday dress.
Across the street from Kohl's was a Dairy Queen so we stopped over there before heading home for a ice cream treat. We love their kids cone. It was just a little over $1.
The end of a wonderful Mommy date! I loved getting to hear all the wonderful things that were going through her head. She did not have to worry about sharing me, or me not hearing her over her sister. She even wanted to hold my hand the whole time as we walked in the stores and to and from the car. It was a great night of bonding.
In case you were wondering Chris had Liv and Leila. He told me that they all had a bunch of fun too. They spent the majority of the evening in the backyard playing follow the leader (which Leila got to be the leader), running around, kicking the balls around and just being with each other. A great night was had by all. The sweetest site fell upon me when Lolly and I got home from our date. It was a little past 9pm when we finally arrived home and we thought for sure Daddy would be in up and in his room. Well we could not find him anywhere. I decided to look on the baby monitor to see if Liv was in bed and sure enough she was not. So I crept into her room and found Chris holding Liv in the rocking chair and both of them snoring. So sweet. Those moments would not have really happened if she was not on her formula. I woke him and then he came out to see Lolly. One of their favorite songs "There will be a day" started playing on the t.v music channel and Lolly asked Chris if he would dance with her. Of course he said yes. Somehow Leila woke up during this and started crying because she wanted to dance with Daddy too. So I took her out of her room and Daddy finished the song dancing with Leila and I with Lolly. I love my family! What a blessing they all are to me.
Lolly ready to go on her Mommy Date.
Opening her bag to see what was inside.
We did not find a perfect dress for her at the mall so we went to Kohl's. They had a bunch of dresses on clearance and she fell in love with a pink and green pok-a-dot dress. She also loved really loved a pink, blue, orange and yellow pok-a-dot dress, but it was too big. The price was right so we bought both even though she cant wear one of them for about another year.
In the dressing room she loved the mirrors. To see if she really liked a dress she would spin around and see how well the dress spun out. If it looked like a "Princess dress" then it passed her inspection.

Liv 8 Months Old
Artown - Ferdinand the Bull
Tonight the girls and I met Chris at a park downtown to enjoy a live, life sized puppet show. It was called "Ferdinand the Bull" put on by the Hudson Vagabond Puppets. We got there a few minutes late and had to sit in the far back of the park but still could see and hear just fine. The girls enjoyed themselves.
Leila lost in the moment of the show. She did not even know I was next to her.
Liv singing with the puppets.

Here is a link to check out what we got to see.

A Lazy Sunday Afternoon
Late this afternoon we had some friends over for dinner. We all had such a nice time. It was fun to watch Liv and Danny interact with each other. They had their own little baby talk conversation going on. Liv is still trying to grab and hold onto him (like back in April's post). She just cant keep her little hands off of him.
